Profile

Marko has worked in various industries for more than 10 years, mostly as an accountant. During that period, his work was related to IT, and the pharmaceutical and education industries. He is well-versed in the usage of accounting software, including lecturing MYOB for undergraduate student, from its usage when creating a company through to its use in problem-solving matters. Prior to his current position, Marko was assigned as the Head of Program of the undergraduate school of Accounting and Finance in Binus University International from 2009-2011. After finishing his Ph.D. degree, Marko became the Head of Program of the International Business program at Binus University International. His main role is to organize study and curriculum mapping, handling students and coordinating lecturer assignments.

Marko obtained his bachelor degree in accounting from the University of Indonesia. He pursued his Master degree in International Business from Curtin University in 2000 and continued his doctoral degree in Accounting at Victoria University of Wellington from 2011 until 2015. Apart from being the head of program, Marko’s interest is in youth education, such as marching bands. He has produced several music scores for top bands in Indonesia, and become a national and international judge. He holds the Drum Corps Europe (DCE) judge certificate.

Research Interests

His research interests are institutional theory, organizational cultures, and behavioral accounting. Currently, his research area focuses on the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). He also has passion for youth and music education.

Profile

Nurianna received her Doctoral in Business Administration from Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia in 2006. Prior to that, she obtained her Bachelor degree in Agro Economics from Bogor Agriculture Institute, Indonesia in 1985 and her MBA degree from University of Oregon, USA in 1989. Most of her 25 year career has been spent with education institutions and consulting companies in Indonesia. She has teaching experience in wide range of subjects in human resources management, leadership and organizational behavior, and qualitative research at different education levels. She worked at the School of Business and Management/SBM ITB as a lecturer and administered Executive MBA Programs at SBM ITB Jakarta campus for four years. She has conducted research and written articles and papers on Human Resource Management practices in Indonesia and on Qualitative Research Methods and presented them widely at international conferences and seminars.

Nurianna’s experience in dealing with Government of Indonesia officials has been extensive through her four year engagement with twelve Government of Indonesia institutions (ministries and other institutions) and five provincial areas (Aceh, Papua, West Papua, East Nusa Tenggara, and West Nusa Tenggara) while she worked at Australia Awards (previously was known as Australian Development Scholarships) as the Human Resource Development National Manager. Currently she works as a faculty member at School of International Business, BINUS University International/BINUS Business School.

 

Research Interests

Nurianna’s research interests are human resources management, organizational behavior, leadership, and qualitative research.

Profile

Jalal has a Ph.D. degree in Marketing from UiT – The arctic university of Norway, and an M.Sc. from the same university. He also has an MBA from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He combines excellent academic and practical skills, with particular interests in teaching others to improve their individual knowledge; he is enthusiastic in utilizing a range of techniques and methodologies in order to provide effective tuition in accordance with student requirements. Jalal is highly adaptable to multicultural and multilingual working environments, due to his international background, having lived/studied/worked in Bangladesh, South Korea, Vietnam, the Netherlands, Norway and Indonesia.

Research Interests

His research interests are international and cross-cultural marketing, and export-import relationships. His research interests include B2B marketing, relationship marketing, quantitative research methods, consumer behaviour, pedagogy and entrepreneurship.

Sanjukta is an academic practitioner and has a Ph.D. from Monash Business School, Monash University (Full Scholarship, 2015). She completed her first Master’s in Communication Studies with a specialization in media research from the Department of Communication Studies, University of Pune, India (First Class, 1997). As a 2006 British Chevening Scholar, she graduated from Nottingham University Business School, UK, International Centre for CSR (ICCSR) with an MA in CSR (Distinction, 2007). She was one of the top twelve candidates selected by University of South Australia (UNiSA), School of Management, Adelaide for the 2011 International Ph.D. Student Competition as an emergent business scholar. She has a decade long of multicultural work experience in leadership positions with global corporates. She is a recipient of the prestigious Young PR Professional of the Year – Asia Pacific COE, Hong Kong (2002); World Class Communication Professional Cummins Inc. (2001) award. She is a trained 6 Sigma Green Belt (2002) and a Diversity Trainer (2000) with 240 hours of formal practice.

Profile

Karen Imam has been working with BINUS since 2008. Her first role at BINUS was as a lecturer of Service Marketing and Consumer Behavior to BINUS UNIVERSITY’s undergraduate students. In the following year, she started working under BINUS UNIVERSITY International and has been continuing her responsibilities as its faculty member until now. During her career at BINUS UNIVERSITY International, one of her most remarkable contributions was leading the EPAS accreditation as the project manager. This project awarded the first EPAS Accreditation for International Accounting Program in 2014. Continuing her progressive milestones, Karen was then assigned as the Head of the International Business program at Binus UNIVERSITY International in 2014. From 2015 until today, she is the Director of BINUS Global under BINUS UNIVERSITY. Her responsibility is leading the internationalization programs and initiatives to be managed by Collaboration Center, International Office, and Global Class.

Karen received her Diploma of Commercial Techniques from IUT Montpellier, France. She pursued her Bachelor degree in International Business from ESG Paris, France and graduated from her Master degree in International Business in the same institution in 2001.

Karen’s research interests are process improvement, cross-cultural management, and internationalization.

Prior to joining Binus International, Tetty Lubis worked in Pelindo Surabaya where she handled the corporate international affairs and was the company’s representative at international port and harbor associations and forums. She has joined the United Nations agencies in London as an intern (international maritime trade) for one year at the UN-International Maritime Organization and investor engagement for two years at UN-Principles of Responsible Investment. She obtained her LLM in Commercial & Maritime Law from University College London (2009) on a Chevening Award and an MBA in Marketing from Monash University (2006) on ADS scholarship. Tetty Lubis also received a British Petroleum Professional Fellowship to do a executive course on commercial law in Leiden, a joint course between Leiden University, Netherlands and Columbia University, US. In addition to her teaching job at Binus International University, Tetty Lubis also served as counsel (off office) at a law firm in Jakarta, where she is dealing with ship sale and purchase and marine insurance. Tetty is still actively engaged in several governments’ maritime projects and legal drafting works with INGO.

Profile

Wulan joined Binus International in 2008 as Student Affairs Coordinator. Her scope of work and responsibility include managing and supervising students’ non-academic activity and facilitating community development programs. In 2011, Wulan also joined the International Business program and delivered subjects with ethics and human-behavior relevance.

As a seasoned clinical psychologist with years of experience working for national and international humanitarian agencies, Wulan continues to express her strong interests in engaging herself with causes that goes across the range of education and other non-profit sectors. Specializing herself in crisis intervention and trauma recovery, in 2011, Wulan co-established an NGO named Lentera Indonesia to provide psychological assistance for victims of sexual violence. Wulan also delivers talks in numerous forums and media with relevance to her expertise.

In addition to that, since 2013, Wulan has also exercised her diplomacy skills by joining Indonesian delegates in Track II Diplomacy programs for non-state actors to New Zealand and MIKTA [Mexico, Indonesia, Korea, Turkey & Australia] Middle Power Countries Assembly.

Currently, Wulan is brewing ideas with a group of respective ‘who’s who’ women in the country to develop a young women empowerment program targeting girls under 15 years old. In her spare time, she enjoys networking with a wide range of communities and volunteering for causes.

Profile

Sukma previously worked in various positions, such as the Australia Awards Indonesia (a prestigious scholarship programs funded by the Australian Government that aims to enhance the development of the recipient country). In 2010, he successfully developed a pilot project for Australia Awards in terms of managing 200 Australia Awards prominent alumni in Indonesia focusing in development areas such as food security, health, education, poverty reduction, energy, innovation of technology, and infrastructure. Currently, he is the Curriculum Development Coordinator in Binus University International. His main duty is to review and maintain the curriculum which involves course distribution and the syllabus for Binus University International and Binus Business School.

Sukma completed his bachelor degree in Trisakti University majoring in Economic Management in 2006. Afterward, he continued his Master degree in Education (Leadership and Management) at Flinders University of South Australia in 2012.

His research interests are organizational behavior, developing people in organization, leadership and knowledge management.
