Efficiency Analysis for Productivity Improvement
The training is aimed at developing an analytical capability for productivity improvement through an efficiency analysis. The methods used will be a Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). SFA is based on the production function, and DEA is based on optimization through a Linear Programming Model.
Experience & Impact:
Based on the data of some inputs and outputs, a map will be developed. The map indicates the efficiency relative positions among decision making units (DMUs). The DMU could be the company, business unit, division, branch, etc. The DMU could also be the same organization analyzed over a certain period of time.
Session Topics:
- The SFA Concept and its Application
- The DFA Approach and its Application
- Analytical Efficiency Using SFA Software and Quantitative/DEA Software
