BINUS Business School

RESEARCH WORKSHOP Q1 & Q2 FM BBS

On 13 and 20 July 2026, Dr. Muhammad Ariono Margiono, S.IP., MScEcon., MM conducted a two-session research workshop at BINUS JWC Senayan Campus, Jakarta. The workshop was designed to support BINUS Business School (BBS) faculty members in improving the quality of their research and increasing their readiness to publish in reputable Scopus-indexed journals, particularly those ranked in the Q1 and Q2 quartiles.

Unlike a conventional seminar, the workshop adopted an interactive and personalized approach through one-on-one consultation sessions between Dr. Muhammad Ariono Margiono and each faculty member. This format enabled participants to discuss their ongoing research in depth, identify specific challenges within their manuscripts, and receive tailored feedback based on their individual research needs Throughout the sessions, participants received guidance on various aspects of academic publishing, including strengthening research contributions, improving manuscript structure and academic writing, addressing reviewers’ expectations, selecting suitable target journals, and developing effective publication strategies. The personalized discussions also helped faculty members identify practical solutions to overcome common barriers encountered during the publication process.

The workshop created a collaborative environment that encouraged knowledge sharing, constructive discussion, and continuous learning among faculty members. Participants were able to gain valuable insights into producing high-quality research that meets international publication standards while refining their manuscripts toward publication readiness.

Through this initiative, BINUS Business School reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a strong research culture and supporting faculty members in achieving greater academic productivity. By equipping researchers with practical guidance and individualized mentorship, the workshop is expected to contribute to increasing the number of publications in high-impact Q1 and Q2 Scopus-indexed journals.
