International Conferences on Sustainable Business and Entrepreneurship (ICOSBE) 2026
The International Conference on Sustainable Business and Entrepreneurship (ICOSBE) 2026 returned with the theme “Resilient Business Ecosystems: Innovation, Digitalization, and Sustainability in Uncertain Times.“ The conference brought together academics, practitioners, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss how innovation, digitalization, and sustainability can strengthen resilient business ecosystems amid global uncertainty. This year, ICOSBE received 273 paper submissions, with 98 papers accepted from researchers across Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, and several other countries, highlighting the conference’s growing international reach.

The conference began with a Pre-Conference on 14 July 2026, held in a hybrid format at BINUS @ Alam Sutera and via Zoom. The session, titled “Tips for Publishing IGI Global Book Chapter,” featured Prof. Ismail Suardi Wekke, Ph.D., Chief Editor of IGI Global, who shared practical guidance on preparing and submitting book chapters for international publication. The session was moderated by Dr. Sambudi Hamali, S.T., M.M., Research Coordinator of the BINUS Business School Undergraduate Program.
The Main Conference was held on 16 July 2026 at BINUS @ Alam Sutera, beginning with opening remarks from Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, S.Psi., M.Si., Vice Rector of Research and Technology Transfer, Dr. Ir. Hardijanto Saroso, M.MT., M.M., Dean of BINUS Business School, and Dr. Drs. Agustinus Dedy Handrimurtjahjo, M.B.M., Chief Editor of ICOSBE. The opening ceremony also featured the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between BINUS University and the Government of Bantaeng Regency, represented by M. Fathul Fauzy Nurdin, M.I.Kom., Regent of Bantaeng and a BINUSIAN.

One of the conference highlights was the panel discussion featuring leading academics and industry experts. The first session welcomed Prof. Dr. Dayang Affizzah Awg Marikan from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak and Prof. Dr. Pantri Heriyati, S.E., M.Comm. from BINUS University, moderated by Dr. Scherly Hansopaheluwakan, S.E., M.I.B. The second session featured Ali Manshur, S.E., M.E. from the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia and Hesty Rosmawaty, S.M., M.M., Managing Director of PT Gateway Container Line Group, moderated by Dr. Marko S. Hermawan, CA, CPMA, ACPA, CertDA.
In addition to the conference sessions, ICOSBE 2026 also featured a dedicated workshop for BINUS Business School faculty members titled “Publishing Papers: Workshop Tips & Tricks.” As part of the ICOSBE 2026 series, the workshop was delivered by Nguyen Minh Tuan, Ph.D., Lecturer at the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and moderated by Dr. Lukmansyah Rifai Amirudin, S.E., M.M., Lecturer Specialist in the Management Program. The session provided practical insights and strategies to help faculty members strengthen the quality of their research and improve their success in publishing papers in reputable international journals.
The event concluded with networking sessions and parallel presentations, where authors presented their research, exchanged ideas, and received feedback from fellow researchers and session chairs. Through these activities, ICOSBE 2026 strengthened international collaboration while providing a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and sustainable business research.
