International Professional Week 2023: Exploring the Role of International Business and Diplomacy in the Digital Era

Quality education is one of the crucial factors in shaping future leaders and entrepreneurs. BINUS Business School-International Undergraduate Program (BBS-IUP) proudly hosted International Professional Week (IPW) on May 24th and 25th, 2023. This event provided a valuable opportunity for students to expand their knowledge and business networks.

As a university that focuses on student-centered learning, BINUS Business School is committed to empowering every student to develop their business and entrepreneurial skills and create sustainable, globally-oriented businesses. To support this goal, International Professional Week was established.

IPW itself is a previously unprecedented activity. In 2022, BBS-IUP lecturers initiated this event. The objective of this activity is to create an exclusive networking environment for students to expand their partnerships with other stakeholders, such as governments, non-governmental organizations, and industry professionals. Direct interactions between students and partners are facilitated through seminars and workshops.

The Main Theme: The Role of International Business and Diplomacy in the Digital Era

The main theme of this year’s IPW is “The Role of International Business and Diplomacy in the Digital Era.” Binus Business School recognizes that the current global business environment is driven and empowered by strong diplomatic relations between countries. Therefore, this event aims to create a platform for leading professionals to share post-pandemic corporate business strategies and provide guidance on how to tackle future business challenges in a technologically advanced digital age.

This event is also essential due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has drastically transformed the way industries operate. Students are now faced with a rapidly evolving and changing business environment. Thus, it is crucial for them to learn directly from professionals, enabling them to develop the understanding and skills necessary to create sustainable businesses.

Furthermore, IPW serves as a platform for students to expand their business networks by directly interacting with stakeholders such as governments, non-governmental organizations, and local and international businesses.

BINUS Business School hopes that through IPW, students will gain valuable inspiration and insights to create agile, innovative, and sustainable businesses in the ever-evolving digital era.
