As part of the Global Business Environment course, BINUS University International Business students are engaging in a dynamic learning activity that bridges academic insight with real-world application. Through the Course Development and Industrial Integration initiative, students work under the guidance of lecturers to solve actual challenges faced by industry partners.

This year, students were tasked with designing a comprehensive market expansion plan for Rahsa Nusantara, an Indonesian brand specializing in traditional food and beverages. The project focuses on penetrating the Australian market—a strategic move that aligns with Rahsa Nusantara’s ambition to promote Indonesia’s rich wellness heritage globally.

In collaboration with Tallo Australindo, a business consultancy firm connecting Indonesian and Australian enterprises, students explored cross-cultural market dynamics, regulatory landscapes, and sustainable business models. This hands-on experience culminates in Week 13, where students present their strategic proposals directly to representatives from Rahsa Nusantara and Tallo Australindo, along with course lecturers, in a professional panel setting.

The initiative supports UN SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing experiential learning that nurtures critical thinking and international business acumen. It also contributes to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering collaboration between academia and industry to promote inclusive, sustainable economic opportunities.

This project not only empowers students with global-ready competencies but also reinforces the university’s commitment to sustainable development and industry relevance.
