Empowering Future Leaders Through Global Business Commerce Bootcamp

BINUS University recently hosted the Global Business Commerce bootcamp—an immersive one-day program designed to introduce high school students to the dynamic world of international business. The event aimed to build early awareness of global commerce practices and macroeconomic issues among the next generation of business leaders.
Through interactive sessions and real-world case simulations, students explored current global market trends, trade challenges, and economic indicators that shape international expansion strategies. A highlight of the bootcamp involved students making strategic decisions about where to expand a business globally, encouraging them to analyze risks, cultural factors, and economic potential from a holistic business perspective.
By simulating the role of international business analysts, participants were not only exposed to theoretical frameworks but also practiced applying critical thinking and global mindset—skills essential in today’s interconnected economy.
This initiative strongly supports UN SDG 4 (Quality Education) by offering inclusive, skill-based learning opportunities beyond the classroom. It also aligns with SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by nurturing entrepreneurial thinking and informed decision-making among youth. Furthermore, it contributes to SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by inspiring young minds to consider sustainable and innovative approaches in global trade.
With programs like Global Business Commerce, BINUS University reaffirms its commitment to preparing youth to become globally aware, socially responsible, and future-ready professionals in an ever-evolving economic landscape.
