On April 27, 2023, the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in Marseille – France in collaboration with the ASEAN-PACA Business Club held a seminar with the topic “Update on Business Opportunities in Indonesia”. This event was attended by around 15 participants consisting of several French businessmen who have business with ASEAN and African countries, representatives from VinFast (electric vehicles from Vietnam) and from Aix Marseille University as well as several diplomats from the Indonesian Consulate General in Marseille. 

On this occasion, Dr. Dahlia Darmayanti delivered a presentation in which she introduced the Indonesian Government’s plan to move the national capital (IKN) to Kalimantan. Apart from the IKN,  she introduced as well several products from two SMEs that cooperate with BINUS, namely Ieko Ratu Eceng – a handicraft made from water hyacinth and Dapur Kelor which produces tea, and powder from Moringa. Several participants showed some interest to know more about IKN and believed that there was an opportunity to export the commodities mentioned above to enter the EU market so long as met the requirements to enter EU countries. In addition, Aix Marseille University one of the public universities in France also has the intention to work together with BINUS University. 

This sharing event was very fruitful because it opened and widen collaboration between French and Indonesian in the business and education sectors.
