Amidst an abnormally wet winter in Newcastle, 20 students donned their graduation gowns and hoods with joy and confidently sashayed across the stage to receive their testamur from the Chancellor. These students traveled from Jakarta to attend this milestone event as the first cohort to graduate from the University’s program taught in Indonesia, in partnership with BINUS University.

Attending graduation here in Newcastle was exceptionally special after completing most of their undergraduate studies online due to COVID-19 lockdown restrictions and border closures. This unique partnership allows students to study the University’s Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Commerce fully in Indonesia and receive two degrees – one from BINUS University and one from The University of Newcastle.
