Dr. Sanjukta Choudhury-Kaul,  from International Business, Binus University International UG program presented her paper “Mainstreaming Disability at Workplace in Myanmar: Preliminary Study Findings” at the 5th IMHA Conference at Jakarta, Indonesia on September 04, 2018

Her paper examines the subject of  inclusive workplace practices and mainstreaming of the disability agenda in Myanmar, which after decades of isolation is opening itself to the world.  As global businesses making their inroads into Myanmar, they are poised with several challenges including  mainstreaming the agenda of people with disabilities (PWD) in the workplace in Myanmar. This  paper  offered preliminary study findings of a qualitative study of business professionals, civil society members including PWD, based in the business capital city of Yangon. They key study objective was to examine the various business impediments in their engagement with disabled individuals in the workplace.
