Profile

Prior to joining Binus International, Tetty Lubis worked in Pelindo Surabaya where she handled the corporate international affairs and was the company’s representative at international port and harbor associations and forums. She has joined the United Nations agencies in London as an intern (international maritime trade) for one year at the UN-International Maritime Organization and investor engagement for two years at UN-Principles of Responsible Investment. She obtained her LLM in Commercial & Maritime Law from University College London (2009) on a Chevening Award and an MBA in Marketing from Monash University (2006) on ADS scholarship. Tetty Lubis also received a British Petroleum Professional Fellowship to do a executive course on commercial law in Leiden, a joint course between Leiden University, Netherlands and Columbia University, US. In addition to her teaching job at Binus International University, Tetty Lubis also served as counsel (off office) at a law firm in Jakarta, where she is dealing with ship sale and purchase and marine insurance. Tetty is still actively engaged in several governments’ maritime projects and legal drafting works with INGO.

International law & trade, maritime security, carriage of goods by sea, ethics, managing across cultures, responsible investment and sustainability.
