Vision-Setting and Professional Development – Part II
About this module
The In Business module on Vision-setting and Professional Development is a specialized training for participants to help them formulate a personal vision for their career, resulting in a personal development plan. Learning will occur through the sharing of knowledge and experiences among participants so that ideas can be evaluated from different perspectives and advantage can be taken of lessons learned in the local context. The module takes around 4 hours to complete.
Upon completion of the training, participants have:
Identified key objectives and set out a vision and direction for their own career development
Developed a professional development plan to help them improve and develop with time to achieve identied goals.
The In Business tools of the International Labour Organization (ILO) are provided through a collaboration between the ILO’s Enterprises Department and the Bureau for Employers’ Activities (ACT/EMP).
The Enterprises Department work builds on private sector development strategies, with a view to strengthen enterprises, business relationships and services, market structures, and the business environment so that they channel more benefits to the poor as well as create more and better jobs effectively.
The ILO’s Bureau for Employers’ Activities (ACT/EMP) assists employers´ organizations in building strong, independent and representative organizations that respond to their members´ needs. ACT/EMP has an interest in equipping employers’ organizations with low-cost, high-impact learning tools to strengthen membership services.
