Amalia E. Maulana, Ph.D.
Amalia obtained her Ph.D. from the School of Marketing, University of New South Wales, Australia in 2006, as an AusAID Scholar. Her MBA was earned from IPMI/Monash Mt. Eliza Business School in 1995. She is known as the pioneer in Marketing Ethnography in Indonesia which is the specialization of her Branding Consulting firm, ETNOMARK. As a Branding Consultant & Ethnographer, Amalia led various strategic brand audit projects and assist company in its transformation to Customer-Centric Organization.
She has over 12 years experiences a marketing practitioner in several multinational companies including PT Frisian Flag Indonesia and PT Unilever Indonesia. Her 19-year teaching experience began in 1998. She is a Senior Faculty Member at BINUS Business School, BINUS University. Her teaching, research and consulting interests focus on brand management and strategy; in particular issues relating to marketing communication, consumer behaviour, consumer insights and digital-related aspects of marketing. Her book, “Consumer Insights via Ethnography,” and “BRANDMATE: Mengubah Just Friends Menjadi Soulmates” have inspired marketing practitioners to build customer centric brands and organizations.
