BINUS University Held the 56th Graduation Ceremony

BINUS University held its 56th Graduation Ceremony at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday, August 1st, 2017. A total of 3.027 students were graduated in the ceremony that was divided into three shifts.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ir. Harjanto Prabowo, MM, the Rector of BINUS University, expressed his pride and expectation towards the graduates. “We are confident that the graduates of BINUS University can contribute to the society, as well as become future leaders that can initiate and make changes in the community for the people, nation, and world advancement,” he said.

In its 56th Graduation Ceremony, BINUS successfully graduated 51 graduates with the Summa Cumlaude predicate. The four of them obtained prefect GPA (4.00) and were awarded with Binusian Award of Excellence.

From the total of 3.027 graduates, 77% of them are now already working. 36% of BINUS’ graduates are now working at global or top national companies, and 16% become entrepreneurs. The youngest graduates are 19 years old (Bachelor’s degree), 22 years old (Master’s degree), and 32 years old (Doctorate degree). Meanwhile the oldest graduates are 52 years old (Bachelor’s degree), 58 years old (Master’s degree), and 50 years old (Doctorate degree).

The Rector hoped the graduates, after the graduation ceremony, will never stop learning. He said that the graduation day actually is the beginning of a new long journey in career and life. “There are still a lot of challenges and obstacles that all of you must face. But do not stop fighting in facing those challenges,” he said.
