DISSERTATION SUMMARY
In today’s modern and digital era, tourist experiences no longer need to be obtained first-hand. Travelers can form perceptions and an intention to co-create through indirect experiences such as social media content, online reviews, travel vlogs, and various other digital platforms. Research findings indicate that in this context, psychological factors—particularly trust and innovativeness—have a more dominant influence on the intention to co-create than direct experience itself. This study provides valuable insights, particularly for developing countries, by focusing on tourists from developed countries visiting destinations in developing nations, especially Indonesia.
