DISSERTATION SUMMARY
Indonesia’s eco-tourism development is considered left behind that of other countries in Southeast Asia. Tourism destination especially eco-destination often suffers from environmental problems such as deforestation, water pollution, and land pollution. This causes declining of tourist visits to tourism destination. There are several causes of environmental problems at tourist destination such as lacking tourist pro-environmental behavior and lacking tourist environmental awareness towards eco-destination. This research will discuss on several factors that could make tourists to adopt pro-environmental behavior and have intention to revisit to eco-destination. They are social influence, digital green marketing campaign, environmental belief, and tourism ecosystem. These factors may influence tourists to adopt pro-environmental behavior when they visit eco- destination. This research involves 306 respondents that have visited eco- destination. Furthermore, the collected data will be analyzed using PLS-SEM technique and Smart PLS software. This research will bring practical contribution to destination management organizations (DMO) through several ways to influence tourists so that they could adopt pro-environmental behavior and have intention to revisit on eco-destinations.
