    DISSERTATION SUMMARY

The study aims to determine leverage factors of big data analytics and knowledge management implementation that affect upstream oilfield projects’ success from the lenses of project management and quality management practice in ensuring project sustainability. Upstream oil & gas projects executed by the project management office of oilfield service contractors globally are the focus of this study. This study delivers strategic insight as well as pathways for future research in bridging the resource-based theory of big data analytics, knowledge management, and the strict nature of project and quality management practices in the era of environmental uncertainties within the context of the high-risk nature of upstream oil and gas projects. Based on this research, it can be concluded that in achieving project sustainability in the upstream oil and gas service industry, as seen from the integration of the implementation of Project Management Practice and Quality Management Practice, it needs to be supported by existing research results. Big Data Analytic can find out how to monitor quality and Big Data Analytic can also assist managers in making decision making. In this study it was proven by an analytical test on each research variable and the results were obtained as Big data analytic capability has positive influence on project management practices.
