Abstract:
Being a professional in the business and becoming a professional researcher in the field of business are two different things, despite the close connection between the two. Business professionals have the experience, insights and instincts needed to solve the problems that arise in the organization, while a professional researcher in the field of business has a wealth of references, mastery of scientific research methods, and the ability to frame problems, thus contributing to the the development of the management.
Not all auto business professionals could be a professional researchers or vice versa. However, a business professional has a large initial capital and is very useful if their relevant interest is also to be a professional researcher.
By taking further studies in the field of Strategic Management, a professional business person is expected to be able to use their experience and insights to make a significant contribution to the canon of the science of strategic management, through process studies and empirical research in their doctoral dissertation.
