Performance Management, and why ?

Performance Management is a process that done constantly by the organization to measure and evaluate the performance that actual outcome compared with planned outcomes. And it will be needed for future improvisation by maintaining a strong communication network both supervisor and subordinates. “Performance management system emphasizes the link between individual behavior and organizational strategies and goals by defining performance in the context of those goals” (Aguinis & Pierce, 2008, banks and may 1999).

In an organization, we will have the organizational goal. And before that, there will be an achievement that we made before we reach that. To make it more effective to monitor, we have to manage and gain feedback from the employers and as well as the employees. And in here, performance management taking the role to establish a maximum feedback from employees. We do ask for their feedback to gain an essential information that will lead to assess their overall performance. This one could be considered as an effective technique to look after their performance matters. In short, the purpose is not to miss out on what performance management can accomplish because they are either unaware of, or misunderstand.

In fact, managing performance is simply good management – getting things done Through people.
Keep in mind that performance appraisal is different with performance management, performance appraisal only forms of a part of it (performance management). And it is always important to link performance appraisal technique with the organizational objective. Or we could say by connecting The PA (Performance Appraisal) with our fixed goals (decided in advance) of the company will lead to efficiency of the strategic

Now after we defined the definition, we do have to know the relationship between Strategic Planning Performance and performance management. For improving overall organization productivity is one of the beginning parts of the performance management and it connects to strategic planning. By knowing the goals of the organization, we could translate them into individual goals. And could create a clear purpose and much more significant work. And the critical factor in increase employee engagement through helping staff understand is the reason why performance management and strategic planning related.
