Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) in e-service
In explaining that EAI in its application is a middleware. Middleware will be an application that provides data services or commonly called web services for other application applications that want to be integrated. Web-service is designed to carry out interoperative tasks with other objects/entities that are compatible and in accordance with certain platform standards.
Web-service as a data bridge between applications must have confidential (authorization), authorization (authorization), data integration (integration of data), and the efficacy of a data bag (proof of original). It is also said that web services (in XML form) for application applications should be encrypted, in addition, web services should be able to handle heterogeneous platforms.
Middleware is generally built as a service that can connect applications with each other. Referred to as a web service, it will provide information without having to access it directly from the database. This is to be able to maintain the security of data from application owners and maintain the level of trust (trust) of each service user. In building a web service application for the benefit of the government, data security becomes critical and must meet the following requirements:
- Authentication – Authentication needs authentication before users get information in the form of web services. This is to maintain that the data/information provided is only received or used by the appropriate recipient/applicant (requester).
- Authorization – Granting rights to certain users to maintain data confidentiality and information.
- Confidentiality – The service should not only run on SSL/TLS HTTPS communications but also need to be
- Traceability – All information and data flowing through the web service must have a record of time and logs to be
- (Integrity & Non-Repudiation) – Data sent over web services must have full confidence that the data belongs to the entity in question.
EAI’s role as middleware needs to be able to integrate diverse application applications efficiently and effectively. EAI should be able to integrate multiple web service provider applications safely, multiuser, and easily customize services. Safe in question is that meets the criteria authentication, authorization, confidentiality, traceability, integrity & nonrepudiation. While multiuser is that this middleware can be used by several users or applications in providing web-service services independently. And what is meant by service customization that the application owner can do can determine what information will be used as a service and can make changes easily.
