E-Infotainment

Today, the development of technology and information is very rapid. This technology and information can help human work, which was difficult, with the development of technology and information difficult jobs become easy. One of the areas of workers affected is in the field of publication and entertainment. In this field, an example is infotainment. Infotainment is a broadcast or impression whose purpose is to inform and entertain infotainment connoisseurs. In fact, it turns out that the development of technology and information also affects infotainment. With the development of technology and information, the delivery of information can be done effectively and efficiently. The delivery of information becomes wider and unlimited, can be done anywhere and anytime as long as there is an internet network. Information delivery media is also widely available on the internet and can be easily accessed. Same with people who are looking for information. With the internet, information can be accessed easily anytime and anywhere. The development of technology and information is certainly very influential on infotainment. With the knowledge of technology, the creative field in infotainment will be helped. For example, to create infotainment content that can entertain the creative field can perform analysis with the help of technology. In order to entertain certain people on the platform, it can be analyzed and determined using big data that can be done by some software. This is done so that the uploaded content will be on target and increasingly in demand by its connoisseurs. The development of technology also influences the media to publish infotainment. If we used to see or hear infotainment in the form of only a few media such as radio, tv, magazines, and others that are limited and not up-to-date, now infotainment connoisseurs can access information through any device. The information obtained is also very broad. If it used to be information mostly from within the country, now we can access information from all corners of the world. Of course, this can be done if we have a device and connect in the internet network. The spread of information is also very fast with the help of technology. Information can be accessed for a fraction of a second on the internet. However, the negative impact of technological developments on infotainment should also be the focus. Many people abuse technology for the benefit of a particular group or themselves but harm one or even many people. In this case, an example is the circulation of hoaxes or engineered news that is very fast. With the media and internet networks, fake news can spread quickly. This is certainly very detrimental to the victim. This hoax case is usually intended so that victims lose trust from the community and this hoax can even pit certain groups. This is very dangerous because it can cause conflict. If in Indonesia itself, hoax cases in the field of infotainment often occur, especially on news about Indonesian celebrities. Many hoax news circulated such as the news of death and the defamatory of a celebrity. Of course, this is very detrimental because the celebrity can be exposed to depression due to hate speech on social media celebrities. In Indonesia, there are also many hoaxes in the political field, especially in the run-up to general elections. Although the development of technology and information has many positive impacts on everyday life, there must be a negative impact. Therefore, we as a generation that is technologically literate must be wise in using the technology. Indeed, information is very easy to access, but we must research it first before spreading it to others because if the information is not true it can harm others.
