Entering the digital era, content providers are one of the growing businesses. A content provider is a company that manages material or content to be sold or published through digital media. Content providers are intermediaries between content creators and content readers. Content providers in this digital age are increasingly needed with the increasing number of internet users. Content providers only provide a platform or medium to publish content or material from a person. An example is cable television companies such as Virgin Media. They provide programs over cable networks, but they do not produce them but instead buy them from others or buy from other providers. The biggest news provider companies like the BBC and CNN hire writers or journalists to write news content to become their content. In addition, there are famous social media such as Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and others. They are a rapidly growing content provider platform on the Internet. Some other content provider businesses such as Amazon and Alibaba are content providers in the field of e-commerce. Content providers are different from content creators or commonly called Content Creators. A content Creator is someone who creates original work or content such as writers, artists, singers, filmmakers, and others. Content Creators typically sell their work and works through the platforms of content providers. The content provider will manage the work or content into something interesting to sell and publish through digital media and the internet. One of the largest content providers in Indonesia is Kompas (PT Kompas Media Nusantara). Kompas is a company that distributes content for major national televisions in Indonesia. Kompas employs journalists and freelancers who write content such as news or others and later the news will be distributed and published through newspapers and television. In addition to producing content for national television, Kompas also produces quality content that will be published to the international community. The presence of Kompas as one of the largest content providers will be a challenge for Kompas to provide quality content to educate the nation. Kompas hopes that the development of the internet and digitalization will facilitate the distribution of content so that it can be accessed by the entire community.
