There are several uses for e-commerce software. However, online marketing and shopping, financing, manufacturing, online auctions, and e-banking are the most prevalent uses of e-commerce. Several firms have used it in the following ways:
Alibaba launched Alibaba.com and 1688.com in 1999, marking the company’s first foray into the internet world. There is a worldwide wholesale market on its main site and a Chinese one on 1688.com. Taobao, Tmall, and AliExpress are all part of Alibaba’s main trading operation.

It’s no surprise that Amazon is the biggest online store in America. Amazon began as an online bookshop but has now evolved to include a wide range of products, including electronics, fashion, and home goods. It’s possible that Amazon Prime was the most inventive and successful part of his online commerce effort. Shoppers who subscribe to Amazon Prime get free two-day delivery from Amazon.com. Streaming video and music, early access to special discounts, free ebooks, and unlimited cloud storage for images are just some of the many new features that the firm is constantly rolling out. Consequently, Amazon today has more than 100 million Prime subscribers throughout the globe.

An online auction house allowing individuals to sell collectibles and used goods to each other was launched by eBay in the 1990s. Eighty percent of all products for sale are new, and ninety percent of all items are offered at a set price. Sellers on eBay are encouraged to provide free, guaranteed 3-day delivery as an incentive. It makes it easier for customers to discover the best deal by combining a list of items from different suppliers with the same item. eBay is becoming less of a platform for other companies and more of a business-to-consumer store.
