Application of supply chain integration: RFID

  • As part of the food supply chain, RFID is used to monitor mainly meat, poultry, and products to assure their safety. If the product is contaminated with something like E. Coli, this may be quite helpful in preventing additional contamination.
  • Passenger checked luggage may be tracked using RFID technology by airlines. This technology makes it simpler for airlines to track down misplaced or stolen luggage; it also makes it easier to redirect luggage in the event of a flight cancellation or change caused by the airline or a customer.
  • In today’s world, technology is used by government organizations to identify, protect, and defend citizens in such circumstances.
