Advantages Virtual Workplace
In the current new normal era, technology develops along with increasing demand due to changes in lifestyle. Moreover, the conditions caused by Covid-19 force people to do remote work. Big companies like Facebook and Google have also announced that they will be doing remote work until mid 2021 and many companies are doing the same. So that companies are encouraged to continue to innovate to create new business opportunities to help the process of running business remotely, called virtual enterprise. Virtual enterprise applications require virtual communication tools such as video conferences or virtual reality. Although this condition makes companies switch to implementing virtual enterprise, there are many advantages that can be obtained. First, the costs incurred are lower because the building is not fully operational. Second, there is flexibility in working time for employees. Third, companies can increase the number of employees without worrying about space capacity. However, this virtual enterprise has an impact on employee performance because they are required to look at the screen for a long time, so employees are easily exhausted. In addition, companies also find it difficult to maintain an organizational culture due to the lack of teamwork they have.
