Application Of Business Intelligence In Human Resources Analytics

The article I chose through Business Digest website is titled “What does human vs machine intelligence mean for work?”. BI (Business Intelligence) is a set of processes, architectures, and technologies that convert raw data into meaningful information that drives profitable business actions. BI is about using data to help enterprise users make better business decision. Business Intelligence can help to make strategic decisions where the right decision will certainly affect the company’s revenue which will also have an impact on company profits. Big data is now used to manage human resources, while machine learning is applied to customer relations, and algorithms are used to inform strategic decisions. In Japan, for example, an insurance company has just replaced 25% of its staff with artificial intelligence. The current application of Business Intelligence is very helpful for HR Analytics in recruiting employees. For example when the HR division recruits its employees, they not only see applicants’ résumé but also through social media like Facebook. They can be part of the company if they have good personal integrity based on their Facebook status history. As a conclusion, Business Intelligence is helpful in solving problems especially in Human Resources.
