Course Background

Finance is a universal language of business. Whether you are in marketing, operations, HR, or R&D, understanding financial concepts is essential for making informed decisions that contribute to organizational success. Many non-finance professionals, however, often find financial data and terminology intimidating. This course bridges that gap by simplifying complex financial concepts and linking them to real-world business practices.

Through a hands-on and discussion-based learning process, participants will learn how to interpret financial statements, assess the financial health of their organizations, and evaluate projects using financial tools. The program also aims to strengthen communication between finance and other departments, fostering collaboration and shared understanding of business performance.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the key principles and objectives of financial management.
  • Read and interpret key financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow).
  • Apply financial ratios to analyze performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluate investment decisions using capital budgeting methods (NPV, IRR, Payback Period).
  • Communicate more effectively with finance professionals and support strategic decisions with financial insights.

Course Methods

The training combines interactive lectures, case studies, group discussions, and hands-on exercises to ensure participants can apply the concepts directly to their work environment. Participants will engage in simulations, financial analysis, and peer learning to internalize key insights.
