International Lecture Week 2025 Day 4: Shaping Future-Ready Talent and Innovation in the Age of AI
Jakarta, 23 October 2025 – The final day of International Lecture Week 2025 at BINUS Business School concluded with a series of thought-provoking sessions that explored how artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and human adaptability are redefining the business landscape. Under the overarching theme “Future-Ready Business: Reimagining Work, Wisdom, and the Wired World,” Day 4 brought together global academics and industry practitioners to discuss what it takes to thrive in a world increasingly driven by technology and human creativity.
The day opened with Dr. Kevin Tan from Singapore Management University, who discussed AI for Business Integration: Building Smarter, Leaner Organizations, focusing on how AI can streamline operations and strengthen strategic decision-making. Prof. Dr. Ethne Swartz from Montclair State University followed with insights on Making Meaning of Technological Change in the Age of AI, urging participants to approach innovation not just as a technical process but as a transformation of organizational culture.
Dr. Sean Chaidaroon from the University of Melbourne presented AI and Digital Strategies, emphasizing how data-driven approaches help businesses stay agile in competitive markets. Meanwhile, Dominic Dunn from Teesside University explored the role of AI in shaping the future of work, questioning whether AI will act as a job creator or disruptor.
The discussion on human-centered innovation continued with Ms. Yuliana Anggoman from Erajaya, who shared her perspective on Future Workforce and Meta Skills, highlighting the importance of adaptability, communication, and ethical awareness as essential skills for digital leaders. Similarly, Ms. Vahreza Rabatami from MAP Group discussed how Korean beauty brands conquered local markets through strong brand storytelling and digital engagement.
Other notable speakers included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rohail Hassan from UUM on AI-powered entrepreneurship, Dr. Deddy Marciano from Ubaya on service management, Dr. Yan Zhuang from Edinburgh Napier University on cross-cultural management, and Nooraneda M. Laidey from AIPU on the growing relevance of business law in the digital workplace.
For Digital Business students, the final day of ILW was an inspiring culmination of the week’s theme. The sessions provided practical insights into how digital transformation, AI, and human intelligence intersect—reinforcing the need for graduates who can merge analytical thinking with empathy, innovation, and strategic foresight.
