Dean Salomo, S.E., M.B.A is a lecturer holding the academic rank of Assistant Professor (Asisten Ahli), specializing in marketing, strategic communication, and digital business. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Marketing) from Universitas Sam Ratulangi with a GPA of 3.79 and completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from Universitas Gadjah Mada with a GPA of 3.51. His areas of expertise include marketing strategy, social media marketing, leadership communication, and global marketing. He holds a TOEFL score of 603 and a TPA (Academic Potential Test) score of 511, both achieved in 2024. Dean has also completed the Faculty Development Program for Delivering the Ignite Entrepreneurship Course.
Dean actively conducts research in areas such as MSME empowerment, digital marketing, consumer behavior, and sustainable tourism. His recent publications include Optimizing the Use of Regional Assets as a Source of Local Revenue(2023), Digital Marketing Optimization: Empowering Market Growth for MSMEs in Kahuku Village, East Likupang(2024), and The Influence of Endorser Promotion and Brand Attachment on Repurchase Intention with Mediation Brand Commitment (2024). In 2025, he published a study on Gender Differences in the Effects of Self-Congruity on Tourist Happiness and Revisit Intentions in Ecotourism Areas. Dean currently serves as the Head of Marketing and Head of Public Relations at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Indonesia Jakarta, in addition to his role as a full-time lecturer. He also serves as the Collaboration and International Affairs Officer. Since 2021, he has taught various courses including Marketing Management, Consumer Behaviour, e-Commerce, Global Marketing, Marketing Communication, Leadership Communication, and Business Communication. His earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Lecturer at Universitas Sam Ratulangi, Manado.
In 2023, Dean was awarded a DIKTI grant for community service through a project focused on improving MSME financial reporting in Mandalamekar Village. He also served as a Field Supervisor (DPL) for the Wirausaha MerdekaProgram, where both of his student teams received national recognition. Dean holds certifications as a Wirausaha Merdeka mentor and in entrepreneurship teaching under the Ignite program. His work consistently bridges academic insight with real-world business impact.
