Problem Finding
Finding problem that actually happened is a key effort to be able to solve problems with creative ideas. This discovering effort would succeed after you passes the previous step that is objective finding and fact finding in creative problem solving method submitted by Osborne-Parners. This method is needed to find solution for an issue by bringing up efficient and effective thoughts, so a few alternative ideas could emerge. Hong, E. and Milgram, R.M. (2008 : 163) say that : This stage involves problem finding and analysis, gathering information, collecting materials, and preliminary work on the problem identified.
In this problem finding stage one should be able to find the real problem of an object currently handled, To be able to find an issue empirically, it will be able to be done by reviewing and describing the problematic object condition. The goal is to be able to obtain some alternative that are considered as issues that needs to be solved immediately. Some alternative issues that are found needs to be identified which is the main problem, so if a solution being applied to one specific problem some other problems could be solved well. Therefore, a well problem definition is needed. A good definition would support success rate of the problem identification effort. Objective finding is concerned with identifying the problem (Proctor, T., 2010).
Defining problem correctly and thoroughly would ease every effort in finding the main problem. Your skill in making problem definition will determine the solution chosen. A good definition would lead you to simplified understanding than the complication it were before, so the solution chosen also can be easily applied to solve a problem conveniently. in the Problem Soling Perspective, different elements of problem finding and solving, as well as the characteristics of the problem themselves, play an important role (Sáez,L. and Pedro, 2010 : 114).
After succeded in identifying a problem, then the main problem that needs to be solved will become identified. Next step is to review the goal of solving the problem itself. Therefore, we modeled the problem as a multi-objective problem with the aim of finding a set of non-dominated solutions (Tzai-Der Wang, T-D, (2006). If you are sure that by solving the problem will leads to significant goal and profits, an optimal effort needs to be done. Goals has to be made correctly and thoroughly, because the goal formulation in solving problem will affect to the achievement of the goal itself
Implementation techniques, costs, and turnaround times have significant differences. Determination of problem finding is very close with what achievement could be obtained in effort to solve problems. One problem could be solved for isidential needs, short, middle, to long term needs. Solution excecution technique, budget, and time have significant difference.
