VCPE Landscape: Guest Lecture Session
As part of the goals for continuous course improvement, BINUS University Master Program invited Tokocrypto’s Chief Operating Office, Bpk. Teguh Rahmanda, as a guest lecturer in the Venture Capital and Private Equity Landscape (VCPE) course. During the event, the guest speaker shared his presentation on the history and growth of Tokocrypto as one of Indonesia’s very first technology-driven startups engaging in cryptocurrency exchange. Bpk. Teguh Rahmanda discussed how the firm, Tokocrypto, has progressed from its initial stages of creation to successfully obtaining a series of funds to secure the business’ long term and sustainable growth.
The guest lecture session was a success, and attendees were very engaged in the discussion and Q&A session. The VCPE Landscape course is taught by Dr. Eddiwan Danusaputro, MBA and Miranda Tanjung Ph.D. The course offers particular learning outcomes to provide course participants with an insight and knowledge of venture capital and private equity (VCPE) ecosystem development, as well as how the VCPE industry and new ventures have evolved in Indonesia. With these goals in mind, the course participants are expected to be ready to identify opportunities and to develop a potential VCPE transaction for their business (venture) in the near future, therefore assisting students in developing a plan and strategy to work with VC or PE investments from “idea to exit”.
As one of the most interesting issues at the moment, crypto asset and trading mechanisms have caught the attention of Indonesian investors, not to mention BINUS Master Program students. As a result, the course and the guest lecture session are particularly designed to meet the goals of BINUS students who wish to become entrepreneurs and start their own businesses or startups.
