Binus Innovation Camp 2025: Strengthening Commitment to SDGs and Community Development
On July 19, 2025, Binus Business School (BBS) hosted the inspiring Binus Innovation Camp, reaffirming the Master Program’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and its dedication to the surrounding community.
This community development initiative brought together master’s students, faculty members, coaches, and volunteers on a collaborative journey to visit three impactful non-governmental organizations:
Cross-Role Collaboration for Social Change
Guided by a spirit of contextual learning and social empathy, participants engaged directly with founders, staff, and beneficiaries from each NGO. These visits provided critical insight into the challenges faced by local communities—ranging from children’s education and literacy gaps to environmental sustainability and urban empowerment.
Solution-Focused Discussion: Students as Innovation Agents
Following the field visits, Master’s students took part in group discussions and presented their proposed solutions, reflecting on their academic learnings and community observations. The presentations offered a range of creative strategies, such as leveraging digital tools to enhance children’s literacy, implementing community-driven coaching programs, and fostering inter-organizational collaborations to support long-term social initiatives.

Embodying SDGs Through Empathetic Leadership
The Binus Innovation Camp served not merely as an observational experience, but as a platform to cultivate future leaders with heightened social awareness and the ability to integrate knowledge with human-centered values. BBS’s commitment to the SDGs was embodied through meaningful interactions and actionable reflection, fostering empathy, insight, and impactful solutions from all participants.
