As a freight forwarding or expedition company, the use of RFID technology and the Dijkstra algorithm may greatly improve the efficiency of shipping expenses as well as customer service. RFID tag readings and the lack of a barrier between the RFID tag and the reader must be taken into consideration by administrative officers in order to ensure that the administrative process runs smoothly. In order to ensure that each branch office’s duty is equally distributed, we recommend using smart labels as RFID tags and analyzing the number of items that stop briefly at each branch office.
\nRFID deployments need to be planned out in advance. This may be seen in the fact that there is a metric for success or an indication. Wetherbe & Vitalari (2002a) provide the following indicators for this measurement:
\nIncreased productivity may be achieved via the use of technology. To improve supply chain efficiency, the technology employed must have a high degree of practicality.
\nA system’s dependability, assurance, service capacity, and responsiveness must be assessed from the perspective of both the end-user and the company’s management (information responsiveness).
\nTechnology is supposed to speed up the delivery of goods and services.
\nControlling company risk via the use of technology. There are a variety of things that might put you in danger, such as a volatile currency exchange rate, erratic customer demand, missed delivery dates, and service times that don’t meet industry norms.
\nBusiness process optimization and efficiency gains must be possible via the use of technology. By using technology, businesses may lower their operating expenses and hence increase their profitability.
\nTechnology must be used to streamline a time-consuming and bureaucratic procedure. The technology streamlines and simplifies the integration of numerous operations. It is possible to do a series of tasks concurrently.<\/p>\n
