{"id":1689,"date":"2019-09-21T23:27:01","date_gmt":"2019-09-21T16:27:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bbs.binus.ac.id\/management\/?p=1689"},"modified":"2019-12-27T23:48:48","modified_gmt":"2019-12-27T16:48:48","slug":"a-growth-leader","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bbs.binus.ac.id\/management\/2019\/09\/a-growth-leader\/","title":{"rendered":"A Growth Leader"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A survey of 165 C-suite executives and senior vice presidents with growth responsibilities and conducting in-depth interviews with 20 executives conducted by McKinsey Company, the result shows that growth leaders have seven specific beliefs and behaviors:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>I am all in:\n<ul>\n<li>Always put growth first<\/li>\n<li>Keep raising the bar<\/li>\n<li>Unite the business around growth<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>I am willing to fail:\n<ul>\n<li>Make plenty of bets<\/li>\n<li>Back the risk takers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>I know my customer as a person not as a data point\n<ul>\n<li>Take the customer&#8217;s side<\/li>\n<li>Make it personal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>I favor action over perfection\n<ul>\n<li>Put yourself on the line<\/li>\n<li>Act on &#8220;good enough&#8221; insights<\/li>\n<li>Face the facts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>I fought for growth\n<ul>\n<li>Avoid short-termism<\/li>\n<li>Break down internal barriers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>I have a growth story I tell all the time\n<ul>\n<li>Infuse the business with purpose<\/li>\n<li>Communicate, communicate, communicate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>I give control to others\n<ul>\n<li>Build up people&#8217;s growth muscles<\/li>\n<li>Give power to the front line<\/li>\n<li>Go outside to get what&#8217;s needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Growth is a journey that requires the entire business to constantly adjust, optimize, and execute, but it starts at the top.
