Three broad of Business analytics

Business analytics will be divided into three broad topics:

• Descriptive Analytics is the use of data to report and understand past and current business performance
• Predictive Analytics are used to construct predictive models from data to forecast future behavior of the business environment and the enterprise
• Prescriptive analytics is used to decide, based upon the predictive models, the best (optimum) decisions to make
