Benefit of  E – Government

E – Government according to  Indrajit  (2002)  revealed  that  E-Government  is  a  new  mechanism of interaction  between the government  and  the community  and   other people who  are concerned, which  involves  users of technology.    information  with  the aim of improving  the quality  of   running services.  The purpose  of the development of E-Government  based on  Inpress  No.3  of2003  is  to    develop the implementation of   electronic-based   government in order to improve  the  quality of public  services  in  general.   effective  and  efficient in addition to  the  establishment of  a  transparent  and  efficient   management  system  and  work process and facilitate  transactions  and  services  between  government agencies.  In  addition,  there are  also benefits that are  applied,  among  others:

  • Improving the quality of government services  to its  stakeholders  (society,  business and industry)  especially  in  terms  of effectiveness  and  efficiency  performance  in  various areas of the state
  • Increase transparency, control and accountability  of  governance  in the framework of the implementation of Good Corporate Governance
  • Significantly reduce the total  administrative costs,   relationships, and  interactions  incurred  by the government  and its stakeholders  for the purposes of  daily activities.
  • Provide opportunities for the  government  to  gain  new  sources of  revenue  through  its interactions  with  interested parties.
  • Creating a new  community  environment  quickly  and  appropriately   answers  various  problems that are  faced in line  with  various global changes and existing trends.
  • Empowering the community and  other  parties as  government  partners  in the process  of making  various  public  policies as  equally  and democratically.

In addition,  there is  E-Service, E-Service  is a  conjoining application  by utilizing  users of  information  and communication  (ICT)  technology in different areas.  Although researchers have different understandings, they agree that technology has a role in facilitating the delivery of a  service.
