Event Background<\/b><\/p>\n

The emergence of the COVID- 19 viruses, has been much more than a health crisis, it has caused very destructive social, economical, and political crises. Unfortunately, with the number of businesses closing during the pandemic, it is inevitable that some people are losing their jobs and income. The economic impacts of the pandemic affect the accounting, reporting, and auditing of financial statements. Many advanced economies are predicted to enter a recession in the year 2020. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has claimed that there will be a 4.2% shrink in the global economy this year. <\/span>It is with great pleasure that we present to you an International IBeX talk series by Mr. Lay with moderation by Mr. Kim. This keynote speech serves the fundamental purpose of enhancing students’ understanding and insights about the economic outlook post-COVID-19 Pandemic. Mr. Charlie will share his experiences as a senior economist who specializes in Asia.<\/span><\/p>\n
