PROGRAM BACKGROUND

Every business decision has a financial impact. Therefore, understanding the knowledge of basic financial principles is critical and has a significant role in business activities. This significant role will only be realized when all managers involved (finance and non-finance executives) have a sound understanding and have the same perspective on how to view the role of financial management. With the same understanding of all managers, especially in financial management, a company’s decisions and objectives will be easier to be executed

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

After completing this program, the participants are expected to be able to:

  • Understand the terminology and basic concepts used by accounting and finance professionals
  • Distinguish between accounting and finance and explain the finance role in running a business
  • Interpret the financial health and condition of a company, division, or responsibility center and use financial information for management decisions and evaluations
  • Enhance communication and promote understandings between the finance function and other functions within the firm
  • Apply capital budgeting techniques and a cost-volume-profit analysis to enhance decision making

 

BRIEF PROGRAMS
