Executive Banking Business Course

Preface

Amid increasingly fierce competition and rapid changes, especially in the field of technology and target markets, bankers not only need technical skills, but also capabilities in almost all area of soft skills so that the bank they lead can survive. The strengths and abilities of Branch Managers and Relationship Managers who must fight on the front lines are required to have capabilities beyond just maintaining customers. They must also be able to anticipate changes that occur by having the sharpness to identify opportunities and threats that not only come from direct competition between banks, but also developments in technology that will have an impact on the performance of a bank as a whole.

Course Description

The course will facilitate participants to reflect and improve on their capability and capacity to manage the branch and the bank business and compare to best practices of bankers who have already demonstrated their performance successfully. This course also gives chances to discuss on strategy and tactics in developing and practicing key competencies as Branch Managers and Relationship Managers.

Through a combination of various methodologies, this course expects participants to be active and to link the new knowledge with their prior knowledge and experience. Course activities are comprised of lectures, group discussions, self-assessments, and role plays.
