Introduction<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n

On Thursday, 9 July 2026, The Dissertation Defense for the Doctor of Research in Management (DRM) program of Alamsyah<\/strong> [2340004526], entitled “Antecedents of Organizational Resilience to Improve the Performance of Multi-Finance Companies in Indonesia<\/strong>” was conducted at Room 800, 8th Floor Anggrek Campus, Bina Nusantara University, West Jakarta.<\/p>\n

The dissertation defense was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mts. Arief, M.M., MBA., CPM who served as the chair of the examination committee as well as an examiner. The session was also attended by the supervisory committee and the board of examiners, who provided academic evaluation and feedback on the dissertation presented. The supervisory committee consisted of Prof. Fergyanto E. Gunawan, Dr. Eng as the Promoter (Supervisor), accompanied by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hamsal, MSE, MQM, MBA, CICP as Co-Promoter I and Dr. Viany Utami Tjhin, S.Kom., M.M., CDMS as Co-Promotor II. Meanwhile, the board of examiners comprised Prof. Dezie Leonarda Warganegara, Ph.D. as Examiner I and Dr. Ir. Teguh Sriwidadi, M.M as Examiner II and Dr. Mohammad Ichsan, Dip.-Ing., M.T., PfMP, PgMP, PMP, PMI-SP, PMO-CP as Examiner III<\/p>\n

During the defense, the supervisors and examiners raised various questions, provided constructive feedback, and conducted a comprehensive academic evaluation to assess the depth of the research and the scholarly contribution of the dissertation.<\/p>\n

Dissertation Summary<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing organizational resilience and its impact on firm performance in automotive multi-finance companies in Indonesia. Organizational resilience is defined as an organization’s ability to anticipate, adapt to, and recover from various business challenges. Specifically, this study examines the effects of organizational culture, open innovation, dynamic capability, and financial stability on organizational resilience and firm performance.<\/p>\n

This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method targeting managers and executives from 70 automotive multi-finance companies in Indonesia, representing more than 86% of the industry’s market share. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling\u2013Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS).<\/p>\n

The findings reveal that organizational culture, open innovation, dynamic capability, and financial stability have positive and significant effects on organizational resilience. Furthermore, organizational resilience has a positive and significant effect on firm performance and serves as a mediator in the relationships between the four independent variables and firm performance. In addition, organizational culture and open innovation exert direct positive effects on firm performance, whereas the direct effects of dynamic capability and financial stability on firm performance are not statistically significant.<\/p>\n

Overall, the study concludes that organizational resilience is a critical determinant of firm performance in automotive multi-finance companies, with organizational culture, dynamic capability, open innovation, and financial stability serving as its primary antecedents. This research contributes to the advancement of organizational resilience theory while providing practical recommendations for multi-finance companies to strengthen organizational resilience as a means of enhancing organizational performance. The study is limited by its cross-sectional research design and its focus on the automotive multi-finance sector. Therefore, future research is recommended to adopt a longitudinal research design and extend the investigation to other industrial sectors.<\/p>\n

Author Biography<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Born in Jakarta on December 8, 1987, who enjoys sipping an Americano made from 100% Arabica coffee beans at a temperature of 58\u00b0C, served in a white 240 ml coffee cup, is an entrepreneur in the land transportation Internet of Things (IoT) industry, commonly known as GPS tracker. This technology is used to monitor the movement of mobile objects such as vehicles and other assets through a platform called Fox Logger. He successfully grew his business, which began in 2010 when he worked as a sales canvasser visiting stores throughout Jakarta with his motorcycle, into a publicly listed company on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2023. At its Initial Public Offering (IPO), the company achieved a market capitalization of IDR 528,000,000,000 (five hundred twenty-eight billion Rupiah). In recognition of this achievement, he was selected for the FORTUNE Indonesia \u201c40 Under 40\u201d list in 2025, which honors 40 influential young entrepreneurs under the age of 40 in Indonesia. In the same year, he also received recognition from Ernst & Young Indonesia in the “Entrepreneur Of The Year 2025” awards program, where he was named among the Top 10 Entrepreneurs in Indonesia. His academic background is in communications, having earned both his bachelor’s and postgraduate degrees from The London School of Public Relations Jakarta in 2010 and 2011, respectively.<\/p>\n
