BINUS University recently participated in the prestigious BFI Case Jam, held on August 30-31, 2024, by the Business Families Institute Singapore Management University (SMU). This two-day event brings a fresh and dynamic approach to case competitions by incorporating innovation, collaboration, and analytics. Participants tackled real-world business challenges, specifically those faced by family-owned firms, with a focus on delivering innovative and actionable solutions.<\/p>\n

Four outstanding students from BINUS Business Undergraduate Program, the International Undergraduate Program and Finance International proudly represented BINUS University, showcasing their analytical prowess and creativity. Their participation led to an impressive haul of five awards, highlighting the institution’s dedication to cultivating business acumen and creative problem-solving skills.<\/p>\n

1st Place Winner \u2013 Day 1: Lucyanna Geraldine<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lucyanna Geraldine \u2013 2502014002 \u2013 International Business Management Global Class<\/p>\n

Lucyanna Geraldine, a standout member of the BINUS Business Consulting Group (BBCG), led her team to victory on Day 1. They addressed the challenge of revenue growth by recommending two strategies: expanding offline store presence and repositioning the brand as a premium offering, tailored to specific market segments.<\/p>\n

Aurelia Banowati Hutami, another stellar performer from BINUS University, secured 2nd place on Day 1. Her team focused on enhancing the company\u2019s revenue stream through a personalized subscription meal plan and targeted marketing for their product line, SlurpSelect.<\/p>\n

Lucyanna’s remarkable performance continued into Day 2, where she once again claimed 1st place. This time, her team tackled cost-cutting issue by proposing the use of high-quality, imperfect goods for soup production, alongside a strategic bidding process for suppliers and reducing the weight of packaging materials. These innovative solutions were designed to significantly reduce the company\u2019s cost of goods sold (COGS) without compromising product quality.<\/p>\n

This recognition reinforces BINUS\u2019 role as a leader in cultivating business talent and fostering a collaborative, solutions-driven mindset among its students on par with World\u2019s top university, Melbourne University that received the 1st<\/sup> Best Performing Guest University.<\/p>\n
