Business Plan Overview: The C.A.R Strategy

Addressing the widespread financial challenges faced by Indonesian students—including poor financial literacy, impulsive buying behavior, easy access to online loans, and rising exposure to online gambling—Team Miracle proposed a comprehensive business solution for Blu, a digital banking platform targeting the student market.

Their proposed strategy, C.A.R (Create – Attract – Retain), outlines a sustainable, three-pronged approach:

  1. Create:
Promote financial literacy through interactive and student-centered educational content.
  • Target Outcome: 40% increase in student financial literacy via digital learning modules.
  1. Attract:
Engage students using lifestyle-integrated features, campus ambassador programs, and gamified financial challenges.
  • Goal: Develop a strong user base with a personalized and relatable banking experience.
  1. Retain:
Ensure long-term behavior change using data-driven personalization tools such as spending trackers, financial reminders, and goal-based savings.
  • Projection: 30% growth in Blu’s user retention rate over five years.

Long-Term Impact Projections (within 5 years):

  • 40% increase in financial literacy among student users
  • 35% reduction in illegal online loan usage among students
  • Establishment of 20+ campus-based financial wellness communities
  • 30% increase in Blu’s user retention through enhanced personalization

This remarkable achievement not only underlines the academic excellence of BINUS Business School students but also showcases their commitment to delivering real solutions to real problems. Team Miracle’s ability to merge research, empathy, and innovation is a clear reflection of the values BINUS upholds in shaping future-ready leaders.
