Market Penetration in Asian Economic Community through the Business Strategy of Federal Oil Seminar

On Wednesday 28th September 2016, BINUS UNIVERSITY held a national seminar “Market Penetration in Asian Economic Community through the Business Strategy of Federal Oil”. This seminar is held in Main Campus Alam Sutera Auditorium with attendance from School of Business Management students. The speaker is Mr. Patrick Adhiatmadja CEO of Federal Lubricants.

From the seminar, Mr. Patrick shares that Federal Lubricants main business strategy is focused on three pillars: Quality, Innovation and Branding. On the Quality side, Federal Oil makes sure that it continues to prove and improve its product quality this gives a big impact that makes Federal Lubricants acknowledged in the market as a high quality lubricant, on the Innovation side, it is believed that to be able to lead the market we need to providing innovative products and activities to the target market. One of the examples that Federal Oil does is by bringing Sam Lowes to Jakarta to meet with members of the media, and Federal Oil community loyalists. The third pillar is the Branding perceived role as a major differentiation and the communication quality to innovation.

It was an overall entertaining yet informative session from Mr. Patrick, He shows some of marketing example that is unique and out of the box, and that is actually the recipe for Federal Oil Success, their main business strategy is focused on three pillars that is intertwine with each other, you need to make sure that your product has an excellent quality, make sure you always innovate, and don’t forget the importance of branding your product. This strategy is not only works best for Federal Oil, it can also be used to penetrate the ASEAN market using this business strategy.
