BINUS 54th graduation Ceremony: 20 BBS Graduates Received Cum Laude, Magna and Summa Cum Laude Honor

BINUS University held its 54th graduation ceremony at Jakarta Convention Center on Tuesday (7/27). Out of 176 BINUS Business School (BBS) master students, 20 students were awarded with Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Summa Cum Laude honor.

The students of Executive Strategic Management Program Christian claimed the highest GPA with 3.93 (Summa Cum Laude) and three graduates from Professional Applied Finance Program received Magna Cum Laude honor, which are Timmy Christie Boedianto (3.88 GPA), Andreas Antoni (3.88), and Stasha Zefanya (3.86).

The 176 students graduated from eight majors at BBS, which are Magister Management (MM) Executive, Young Professional Business Management, Young Professional Creative Marketing, MM Track Program, BINUS Business School Business Management, BINUS Business Applied Finance, MM Dual Degree Program, and Management. The highest number of graduates came from Young Professional Business Management, with 50 graduates. In addition, there were several youngest Magister graduates (23 years old) from Young Professional Business Management, Young Professional Creative Marketing, and MM Track Program.

Overall, BINUS University awarded 10 doctorate degrees, 330 master degrees (including BBS graduates), 2.461 bachelor degrees, 19 graduates of professional bachelor, and 2 students graduated from associate degree. With this 54th graduation ceremony, BINUS University have contributed 92.934 graduates to the nation and world.

In this 54th graduation ceremony, 67 students graduated with Summa Cumlaude honor – 54 students with 3.90 plus GPA and 13 graduates received Binusian Award of Excellence with their 4.00 GPA. In addition, BINUS University also awarded Binusian Award, an award to recognize exceptional students who have noteworthy academic or non-academic achievements as well as innovative works and active in competitions or scientific Activities. This award was presented to Inca Maya Sari. A, a System Information program graduate, who managed to be the winner of Lomba Mahasiswa Berprestasi Tingkat Kopertis Wilayah III DKI Jakarta.

Rector of BINUS UNIVERSITY Prof. Dr. Ir. Harjanto Prabowo, MM in his speech tips all the graduates to keep on learning and continue to improve their knowledge and skills. “I have faith that you can achieve all of your dreams and be succesful in pursuing career with knowledge, skills, learning habit, great determination, and high motivation. Keep on learning and enhance your knowledge and skills so you can be prepared to compete in ASEAN Economic Society and view it as a great opportunity instead. Therefore, we have to use this moment to maximize our innovation, creativity and productivity, rather than be proud with our current resourceful nature but not use it wisely,” he said.
