To welcome new university students who enrolled in the S2 MM Young Professional & MM Professional Program, BINUS Business School organized outbound activities in Lido, Sukabumi. The two-day program was held on 14/15 June and 120 students participated.
BINUS Business School’s tagline is ‘Shaping Innovative Leadership’, and the purpose of programs like this is to sharpen the students’ soft skills such as creativity and stating ideas, and to build character and leadership potential.
Six outbound activities were completed on the first day, which opened with introductions and ice-breaking activities before the students were divided into 12 groups. Each group created their own group names, cheers and discussed the five cultural values that best reflected the identity of their group.
The creativity of the students was revealed in group names such as ‘Kera Sakti’, ‘Grasshopper’, ‘Dweeer Horraayy’, ‘Kucing Meow’ and ‘BroSis’.
The activities included ‘Bermuda Triangle’, ‘The Wall’, ‘Spider Sliders’, ‘Tarzan X’, ‘High-Cross the Tree’ and ‘Raft Building,’ all designed to strengthen teamwork skills. Team BroSis performed the best overall.
Students who were chosen to be the presidents and vice president of MM Young Professional & MM Professional (for batch 14T1) were then tested to lead their teams in teamwork games.
The outbound event ended with a workshop about leadership development by Dr. Mohammad Hamsal, M.Eng, MBA, from MM Executive BINUS Business School, which focused on strategic change management. (RAW)
