In today’s business world, a company’s success in running its business truly depends on the quality of its human resources. To survive the competition, the quality of human resources, aside from the knowledge gained from formal education, should include such added values as soft skills, hard skills, experience and networking skills.
Correspondingly, BINUS BUSINESS SCHOOL is very enthusiastic in spreading its wings and collaborating with various global leading education institutions in the field of business. One of these institutions is Macquarie University.
For that reason, BINUS BUSINESS SCHOOL and Macquarie – having built upon their collaboration since 2007 – held a workshop themed “How to Become a Future Leader in Business” on Thursday, October 17, 2013 in Room 310, BINUS Senayan Campus at the Joseph Wibowo Center from 10 am to 2 pm.
During the event, Christ Baumann (senior lecturer – Department of Marketing and Management at Macquarie University) and Jusuf Wibisana (partner assurance, Price WaterhouseCoopers Indonesia) delivered their presentations with important and fundamental points, such as things that can affect a person’s career advancement, how to overcome barriers at work, and how to become a professional leader in a company in which we work.
The presentations at the workshop were not limited only to career performance, but also discussing the importance of being well dressed at work. This is deemed to influence one’s career advancement.
On the sidelines of the workshop, Rokoyah Andariani Amin (Overseas Program manager at BINUS INTERNATIONAL) asserted that the workshop showed BINUS INTERNATIONAL’s concerns for students by means of equipping them with necessary insights into facing their future career. (Karunia Fransiska)
