The advancement level of a country is determined not only by the natural resources, but also by the qualifications of the human resources. The latter enables a country to make headway. This is where BINUS fits in as an enabler. Innovations in the field of education put BINUS on the cutting edge and in this role the university has the ability to bring new skills to bear on the country and boost its standing on the global stage.
BINUS BUSINESS SCHOOL is bravely spreading its wings and building its presence in the fast- growing area of Alam Sutera. This demonstrates the readiness of BINUS in terms of evolving into a university which can hold its own in the global arena.
It is important to be aware that in today’s marketplace, driven by fast-paced competition, the success of a company in running its business truly depends on the quality of its human resources. To survive the competition, the quality of its human resources, aside from the knowledge gained from formal education, should include such added values as soft skills, hard skills, experience and networking.
With this paradigm in mind, BINUS BUSINESS SCHOOL held a MM Business Management Program Info Session on Thursday, October 17, 2013 in Room ASB 8, BINUS UNIVERSITY @ Alam Sutera from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm.
In the event moderated by Gerald Ariff, B. Eng (Hons) (KCL), M. Sc (Surrey), as the head of Program of the Graduate School of Management, participants were given insights into BINUS BUSINESS SCHOOL’s strengths, from its ‘A’ accreditation achievement, quality instructors, conducive atmosphere for learning, to the work of the school’s graduates as reflected through their theses.
Gerald also added that joining BINUS BUSINESS SCHOOL Alam Sutera could help participants increase their quality. It is worth knowing that the booming of the Indonesian economy leads to many companies setting new sales targets. Ironically, the availability of qualified human resources is inadequate.
The presence of BINUS BUSINESS SCHOOL in Alam Sutera is indeed capable of drawing participants to join the school. Cindy, an employee of PT Alam Sutera Tbk, said that she attended the event to look into her preferences for her future career. Cindy also added that, after paying attention to Gerald’s elaboration, she became more determined to join the school.
Hariz, an employee of PT Indah Kiat Tbk asserted that it was good that BINUS BUSINESS SCHOOL had opened in Alam Sutera, in close proximity to his office. He is convinced that with BINUS being such a big name, his career will be much better in the future. (Karunia Fransiska)
