The Economy Faculty of University of Indonesia (FEUI) organized a colloquium for lecturers, students, doctors and professors in The 8th Doctoral Journey in Management, The 6th Master Journey in Management and The 2nd Bachelor Journey. The events was organized on Thursday, April 25, 2013, FEUI Depok Campus.
Around 50 state and private universities participated in the annual event which discussed the latest theories and findings in management by students of doctoral degree, the latest business applications by students of master degree and the latest economy management prototype by students of bachelor degree.
From hundreds of participants, there was also the flag of BINUS Business School, which brought the team of BBS 2. The team, which was directed by Robert AB Butarbutar, managed to answer the case study from Prudential Indonesia “The Opportunity in the Middle of Financial Illiteracy Challenge”.
Thanks to their hard work, consistent practice and prayers, the team which consisted of Michael Eric Kurniawan, Fernando Moniaga and Alvin Gunavanta Pangestu managed to won over the host Universitas Indonesia. They won as First Runner Up and they brought home Rp 3,000,000 of cash.
Ruslan Prijadi, the head of Management FEUI Department stated that the event is a part of FEUI’s efforts to improve the latest researches about management, so they can contribute, in theory and application, for the concrete sector.
In this event, FEUI also worked with regulators and state-owned companies along with private companies, in education or business theories. The companies are: Prudential Indonesia, Tiki JNE, BCA, BNI, Maipark, Nikko Securities and Bank Indonesia.
“The world of research in higher education cannot be separated with regulators and business world. Both must be linked and matched. It is appropriate if universities sit together with practitioners, businessmen and regulator to formulate useful information,” explained Ruslan Prijadi. (Karunia Fransiska)
